How to get the most out of the Integrated Risk Management Forum 2021

Turnkey’s 2021 Integrated Risk Management Forum is just one day away now, and I hope you’re just as full of anticipation as we all are at Turnkey.

The one-day event is happening this Thursday (April 22nd), where we’ll be getting insights from leading integrated risk management professionals at Siemens, UPM, SAP, ServiceNow, and more. They will be covering how organisations can improve their compliance programmes to meet both existing and upcoming requirements.

The Brydon report is highly anticipated to result in the emergence of a UK/EU SOX, so we’ll understandably be placing a sharp focus on how organisations across Europe can effectively prepare for this. Turnkey’s CEO, Richard Hunt, will be rounding off the day with a look at what we can all learn from those already needing to comply with US SOX. The session will focus specifically on the learnings that will help organisations as they prepare for the introduction of a similar regulation across the pond.

In preparation for Thursday, here’s a quick run-down of everything you need to know to get the most out of the event:

Getting the best viewing experience

As was the case with our last event, the Integrated Risk Management Forum is happening virtually, enabling you to watch from wherever you are currently working. The event will run from 9:00 am to 4:45 pm UK BST, with 45-minute sessions starting each hour (with a break for lunch).

We want every attendee to get meaningful value from taking part in the event, and gain real learnings that can be used to guide your future risk management and compliance programmes. With that in mind, these four tips can help you get the most from your experience:

Get prepared: Don’t leave it until the last minute to sign up and join in. We’re using Hopin for this event, so take a few minutes to test your access before Thursday. If you’re already registered, go to the sign in page here and enter the login details you used to register. Once logged in, you’ll see The Integrated Risk Management Forum in your upcoming events. If you haven’t registered yet, make sure you do so here.

You can access the event on the day by logging into your account, but you will also receive a reminder email with a link to the platform one day, and one hour before the event.

Plan your event: Take a look at our itinerary to find the talks that are of greatest interest to you, and if you’re unable to join us for the full day, set reminders within your personal calendar to check back in for those specifically.

You can do that directly in the Hopin platform by clicking the calendar icon next to the sessions you’re most interested in. All sessions will be made available as recordings too, so don’t worry if you miss anything.

Get involved: If you thought this was just an event where you dial in and listen to us speak all day - think again. The Integrated Risk Management Forum is designed with interaction in mind, and there will be a number of opportunities for networking with speakers and attendees alike. If you have any burning questions you want answers to, or you’re looking to network and bring new expertise into your risk management programmes, this is your opportunity to do it.

On the day, click on the networking tab on the left-hand side to be virtually introduced to someone new. The process is completely random, so you’ll have the opportunity to meet people you might not normally come across.

Click here to sign up if you haven’t already and make sure to share the event with your colleagues - we’re really looking forward to seeing and engaging with you on Thursday!
